Key Responsibilities:

Category Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute the category strategy for the Personal Care segment, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Analyze category performance, consumer trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.

Portfolio Management & Product Development:

  • Manage the product portfolio, ensuring optimal product mix and SKU efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, Marketing) to introduce new products and improve existing ones based on consumer insights and market needs.

Sales & Marketing Collaboration:

  • Partner with sales and trade marketing teams to implement category plans across retail channels.
  • Develop and drive promotional plans to boost brand awareness and increase sales, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.

Pricing & Profitability Management:

  • Set pricing strategies to ensure profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
  • Regularly analyze pricing and cost structures to maximize profit margins and recommend pricing adjustments when necessary.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Monitor category performance metrics, market share, and profitability.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior management, outlining market trends, category performance, and actionable recommendations.

Retailer & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, ensuring the category is well-represented in stores.
  • Engage stakeholders with tailored presentations on category performance, insights, and proposed strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in category management within the FMCG sector, with a focus on personal care.
  • Experience with international brands or MNCs is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of FMCG markets, consumer behavior, and category dynamics.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful category strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
